Dunbar Bagpipes
Trained by Peter Henderson in Scotland, in the 1930’s, Jack Dunbar had success in bagpipe-making even before he arrived in St. Catharine’s, Ontario in 1966. He soon founded Dunbar Bagpipes, making traditional Blackwood pipes and pioneering new materials, including plastic. Dunbar was the originator of Poly bagpipes, which have become a reliable fixture in the piping world, offering exceptional durability, in addition to quality sound. The Dunbar family continues in the business of making wonderful instruments in Canada.
